My daughter needed an oral surgeon for her wisdom teeth and we went to NoHo Modern Dentistry. The staff were all so accommodating, friendly and helpful. They were on top of their dentistry game. The dentist was so sweet. She took extra time to calm my daughter’s nerves and discussed with me their plan of care for her wisdom teeth extractions. I am so impressed with the clinic’s lay-out as well. The place was immaculate! We are happy with our new dental clinic!

Professional and Thorough Care at NoHo Modern Dentistry I recently experienced pain beneath a dental crown and discovered NoHo Modern Dentistry while searching online. They were offering a $59 promotion for a dental exam and basic cleaning—assuming healthy gums and no need for deep cleaning. I was initially concerned this might be a bait-and-switch tactic, but to my relief, that wasn’t the case. I also understand they’re a business, and the reality is that many patients need more than a surface-level cleaning. It’s fair that more involved procedures cost more, especially given the additional time and resources required. As a relatively new office, the name feels appropriate—NoHo Modern Dentistry is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and the space is bright, clean, and welcoming. The natural light and modern design made the environment feel open and comfortable, which is a refreshing change from some dental offices that can feel dark or cramped. At the time of my visit, I did not have dental insurance. Dr. Ismael Nawaz reviewed my digital X-rays and conducted a thorough exam, identifying two areas that needed attention. He clearly explained my options without any pressure. Importantly, neither Dr. Nawaz nor the office manager tried to upsell or rush me into treatment. Their calm, professional approach stood out—and in a city like Los Angeles, where patients have no shortage of choices, that kind of care builds trust. I also want to highlight the dental hygienist, Taylor, who was both personable and impressively thorough. He made me feel at ease during the cleaning and maintained a calm, professional demeanor even in situations that would test anyone’s patience. I overheard him with another patient who insisted on asking frequent questions mid-cleaning, requiring Taylor to stop and respond repeatedly. His patience and professionalism in that moment truly stood out—and frankly, his presence alone made me want to return to this office as my primary dental care provider. Overall, I had a very positive experience. If I had to offer one small critique, it would be the wait time: my appointment was scheduled for 1:00 PM, and I arrived 10 minutes early to complete intake forms, but wasn’t seen until 1:25. That said, the delay may have been due to them giving another patient the same kind of thoughtful attention I received—which I can certainly respect.
